Switching from your current marketing company
You don't need to learn anything to switch. Here's what happens, step by step.
Before you switch
- Check your current agreement. Some have a notice period. Start with us whenever it suits you.
- Find out who holds your domain. If it's in your name, good. If your marketing company or web designer holds it, we'll help you ask for it back. If they still control your domain when your site is ready, we hold your setup fee until the domain is available to you and you've shared DNS access. Your monthly fee is still charged on day 31.
- Keep your current website plan running until we tell you it's safe to cancel.
What we do
- 1Rebuild your site from what's there now. Your content, your photos, your pages, rebuilt on our hosting.
- 2Keep your old links working. Redirects send your old page addresses to the new pages.
- 3Set up Google in your name. Search Console and Analytics go in your own Google account; we're added as a manager you can remove any time.
- 4Go live. Reply APPROVE to launch. If you choose to go live before day 31, we'll also ask you to reply GO LIVE. That confirms you're choosing early go-live, and your setup fee (or its first third) is charged then. You share DNS access (never a password). We save your current settings first and change only the website records.
- 5Keep your email working. We don't touch your email settings unless you ask in writing, and we test email to and from you after the switch.
What you'll need
- Access to your domain account (or help getting it back)
- Any photos or files your current company has for you
- Your answers to one list of questions
Questions
- Do I have to tell my current company?
That's up to you and your agreement with them. We won't contact your current company unless you ask us to.
- What if they won't hand over my domain?
We'll help you ask for it in writing. If they still control your domain when your site is ready, we hold your setup fee until the domain is available to you and you've shared DNS access. Your monthly fee is still charged on day 31.
- Can Juhmp take over my site from my current marketing company or web designer?
Yes. We rebuild it from what's there, keep your old links working, and help you get your domain back if they hold it. If they still control your domain when your site is ready, we hold your setup fee until the domain is available to you and you've shared DNS access. Your monthly fee is still charged on day 31.
- Will I lose my Google rankings if I switch website companies?
We set up redirects so your old addresses point to the new pages. No one can promise rankings stay the same.
- What happens in the first 30 days?
We build your key pages on a preview. Your first month's fee isn't refundable. Cancel in writing by the end of day 30 and no setup fee is charged, unless you chose to go live early. To cancel, send CANCEL to help@juhmp.ai or joe@juhmp.ai, or reply CANCEL in any Juhmp email thread.
- Will my Google history carry over?
We set up redirects so your old addresses point to the new pages. No one can promise rankings stay the same.
