Outsource your company website or keep it in-house?
Short answer: If your site is a marketing site (who you are, what you do, how to reach you), outsourcing usually makes sense. The work is steady but small, so one in-house person tends to get bored, buried, or pulled onto other jobs. Keep it in-house if the site is your product, changes every day, or ties deep into your own systems.
What a marketing site needs each month
- Small edits: new staff, new photos, updated services, a holiday notice.
- A new page now and then, like a new service or a hiring page.
- Upkeep: broken links, how the pages load, how it looks on a phone, the sitemap, accessibility basics.
- Search upkeep: page titles, descriptions, and making sure your business details match everywhere.
- A record of what changed and who signed off.
For most companies, that's not a full-time job. That's really the whole decision.
Keeping it in-house
The upside: someone down the hall who knows the business, can sit in on a meeting, and can change things as soon as they're asked.
The downside: it all rides on one person. Vacations, sick days, and people leave. Website work rarely fills a week, so the job drifts into other duties and site requests wait. Search upkeep and accessibility are easy to let slide when nobody's watching them.
Outsourcing it
The upside: a team or service that does this every day, and you pay for the site, not a salary and benefits.
The downside: you depend on how clear the outside team is. Some companies hold your domain or accounts hostage, lock you into long contracts, or make changes without asking. Ask about all of that before you sign. (Here are 10 questions to ask before you hire a web designer.)
Approvals and access matter most for bigger teams
Whoever runs your site, get two things in writing:
- 1Nobody changes the live site without sign-off. At Juhmp, every change you ask for is built on a preview first and goes live only after you reply APPROVE. Turn on Approval mode and one named approver signs off on every change, including small search tweaks, and you get a monthly change log by email. On Grow, small search tweaks like page titles can go live without APPROVE unless Approval mode is on.
- 2Your company owns everything. Your domain and Google accounts stay in your name, and your words and photos stay yours. Once all fees due are paid, non-founding clients can get a full export of the site we built. See what you own.
Every request and approval happens by email, so your team has a written record it can search later.
When to keep it in-house
- The site is your product, or customers log in to it.
- It's tied into your own software, inventory or online store.
- It changes many times a day.
- You need custom contract terms or a response time in writing.
If that's you, a full-time person or a development firm is a better fit, and we'll say so in your site review.
How Juhmp fits
Juhmp runs marketing websites for companies that don't want an in-house web team. You get the same plans, the same limits and the same plain-English agreement as every Juhmp client. You email a request, your AI employee builds it on a preview, and it goes live when you reply APPROVE.
What we don't do: paid ads, social media, online stores, phone calls or meetings, custom terms or SLAs. We work with US businesses with a single location.

FAQ
- Do bigger companies get different plans?
No. Same plans, same limits, same agreement. You get a quote through the free site review, and there's no separate price list.
- Who approves changes?
Every change you ask for goes live only after you reply APPROVE. With Approval mode, one named person approves every change, including small search tweaks, and gets a monthly change log. On Grow, small search tweaks like page titles can go live without APPROVE unless Approval mode is on.
- Do you work on our app or product?
No. We handle marketing-site work only: the public pages that explain your company and bring in leads.
- We have more than one location. Can you help?
Not at this time. We work with single-location businesses.
